When you're using nothing words to make moral arguments, what you're actually doing is propagandizing your particular point of view.
Have the strength to speak your convictions instead of hiding behind nothing words.
What you want to say is: "I agree that it's totally not permissible to say nigger, and I completely agree with the concept of hate speech, and totally saying nigger is hate speech, and hate speech is heresy, and people who engage in hate speech should be drawn and quartered and exiled, BUT you see in this particular instance he said nigger because he was using it as an example of a hate speech word to make the point that it's dangerous to our democracy, and so in this particular instance what he did was justifiable."
And I'm telling you that this is bullshit.
"Context" is irrelevant. We are where we are, in part because no one has the courage to say "fuck your context, she should be free to show her class as many prophet pictures as she damn well pleases, because protecting the feelings of muslims or the easily offended is not a moral principle, not is it a cultural priority".
And THAT'S the principle that needs defending, that people should be free to speak their mind and not risk excommunication because they insulted some liberal sensibilities.
Context is a nothing word.
Everything and every idea has infinite context.
