Whenever he had any success, he was constantly reminded of his shortcomings. He felt like he was constantly judged and held to a higher standard than his female peers.

Eventually, Robert's feelings of resentment and inadequacy began to manifest themselves in the form of a powerful hatred for women. He began to lash out at them whenever he felt threatened or insecure. He started to view them as inferior, and he was determined to prove that he was better than they were.
