Men have a distinct advantage over women in the use of violence so men engage in it more. It's also why of all the murders women commit, murdering children may in fact be higher on the list because children are one thing women do have a physical advantage over.

We know the men who are engaged in these activities often bring the violence on themselves. A lot of women in domestic disputes bring the violence on themselves, so we shouldn't care if men commit violent crimes on women where the woman deserves it. Women often commit crimes on men where the man doesn't deserve it at all, such as killing a child. When comparing violence between the sexes, I think there is a very unfair comparison regarding the types of violence. We make the distinction between say cold blooded murder and warm blooded because we presume warm blooded means there's sensible motives, even if we disagree with them. Cold blooded seem far more heinous. I would propose that if we compared the violence women are involved in compared to men on a whole, women actually commit far more heinous violent crimes than men overall even if men commit more violent crimes.
