They put in the dogshit costumes from Netflix Witcher (Nilfgaardian soldier outfits). Not sure if that counts as ruining things, but the consensus I saw was "I switched back to the normal ones" or "how do I switch back to the normal ones?"
I know they announced it as a graphics update, but I don't trust these people not to introduce subversive elements to the game. It's clear the owners of the IP do not have any qualms about doing so.
To my knowledge it's just a graphics update, not content. Not sure anything else was really changed from what I recall reading.

Does anyone have a list of all the changes? They mentioned quests as well, so I am a bit curious.
The biggest change for me is the game kept crashing. Different resolutions, changed all the settings to defaults, nothing helped.
