Libs don't push gun control because they truly care about shootings. They just exploit shootings to make emotional appeals because their ulterior motive is to disarm the populace to pave the way for totalitarian socialism.

An armed populace must give consent to be governed. The Left fears this, it fears rebellion, because the Left knows that it must push unpopular policies on an unwilling populace "for their own good" to reach "utopia".

The real reason the Left wants "gun control" is exactly the reason the 2nd Amendment exists: the Left wants to impose tyranny.
