Here's my unsympathetic reasons why the financial system should collapse:

Deflation will cause the consumer's purchasing power to skyrocket
Bloated & unwieldy businesses that must be supported by the government must collapse
This is the most effective way to repell the useless racketeers of DIE
This is the most effective way to make illegals self-deport
