[–]Ukr_mapper[S] 5 points 4 days ago There are a lot of positions in the army, actually, on the frontline, that do not require serious physical strength, drivers, radio operators, drone operators etc. and only a very little number of positions are really hard to be staffed by women - usually special forces, but to tell the truth most men are not suitable for this kind of troops. Your opinion is a stunning example of acceptance of male disposability by society.

Dumb take. There isn't a single frontline position that doesn't have to carry a heavy load, carry an injured soldier sometimes, etc. Even drone operators. This doesn't change the fact of sexism against men.

Even in 'non-combat' positions, you have to sleep somewhere, eat something, drink water, and carry enough ammunition to operate. Then there's the gear required to actually perform your function.

I never met a woman who could carry 50% of what a man did over any distance. Not two feet, not twenty miles.

What that means in mixed units is all the men get even heavier packs because the women can barely manage to ruck with their body armor, kevlar, and rifle, let alone the other 60-80 pounds in the pack.

All that extra weight gets distributed among the squad, and still they exit after one enlistment with fucked up hips, a fucked up back, on some sort of permanent disability.
