Every time there is even a minor axe throwing or jumping puzzle, the companions will start hinting at what to do, not even 5 seconds of scanning the area before REPEATED hints and tips detailing EXACTLY what to do.
How hard can it be to just add a hint button when you are in a puzzle area, instead of ruining the immersion completely because retarded journalists complained about GoW 2018. It's like no one on the team played a point and click adventure in the last 10 years.
God, how God of War has fallen. I remember just how creative the puzzles were in the original trilogy, with one of my absolute favorites being how you pushed platforms and staircases around in ways to form proper bridges and paths via forced perspective.
This is every game now. "Companions" constantly spelling out exactly what you should do at all times. And if it's not a companion, it's the main character. Horizon Forbidden West was a really good game (controversial opinion, I know) but Aloy would not shut the fuck up and just let me try to figure out things on my own.
Systems like that should have a timer of at least three minutes before they start dropping hints. Five for the harder ones. And there should be an option to turn them off entirely
As OP is saying this is 100% done because "journalists" complained of games being to hard and they've been unable to finish them.
Having someone constantly telling you what to do is annoying in real life why would I want that in a game?
Like I said point and click puzzle games solved the issue a decade ago with a hint button that becomes active after a few minutes progressively being more straightforward with the solution each time you click it.
I've heard it's basically like a Marvel movie but in game form.
Well, it's got Thor designed to look like a fat slob, and Ratatoskr is a discount Rocket...
Well, that's actually more what Thor should look like. Red hair and all.
He was not suppose to look fat but barrel chested. Not ripped obviously but not fat either.
I said "more like".
It's not perfect, but it's still miles ahead of marvel shit.
I so hate that part and it is immersion breaking.
They should just put in "Journalist" option and then the rest of us can play a game without being treated like retards.
I'm also not a fan of having companions all the time. It works well when you have a party but companions that talk every second are annoying.
In the old games Kratos goals were fairly simple and straightforward, as such the story could be told visually through cutscenes showing him traveling from one area to another, or just by gameplay like climbing Pandora's temple.
