Oh, so she's not even in a creative department, but a gatekeeping department? That makes the source of her enjoyment even more obvious; She's a kingmaker. A gatekeeper.
She gets to help decide who gets hired, who gets fired, who gets promoted.
Ultimately it hooks on to the exact same thing as being a propagandist, though; She feels she is part of something that is going to change the future.
It's the same feeling that you see at the Oscars or any screen actors guild gathering - where they all nod and confirm to eachother that its their great calling to change the world through their job.
Same deal.
I almost guarantee she doesn't even consciously realize there's anything wrong in it.
I'm sure that the only people that she's interested in hiring have they/them pronouns, blue hair, or -stein at the end of their surname.
