I initially thought the second person was one of those support-trolls. You know, like the people who hear "Motorcyclist crashed and dies" and says "damn, COVID got another one!"

Took reading the comments here to realize he's probably serious.

In which case, I'd answer seriously: Yes, it would be INFINITELY preferable to contract a cold for a few days, than to get a significantly-life-shortening and lifestyle-restricting permanent medical condition.
