I don't use "news" media as a battlefield yardstick, for one. Pretending to know what the current ground game looks like from an internet armchair is silly. Even sillier is issuing daily proclamations based on whatever some newshead told you the latest front line is.
What I do know is that Russia has vastly more to lose in this conflict than the State Department manipulated NATO coalition, so once push really comes to shove, Russia will pull out the stops in a way the Western "allies" aren't willing to match. Or simply keep grinding them down until more and more people in the West demand an end to "helping" Ukraine. There are a multitude of scenarios that when gamed out, all end with Russia winning their objectives. We're playing on their turf this time and it's not going to go the way the John Boltons of the world want it to.
Consider the obvious fact that sending more billions into the Ukrainian money laundering black hole isn't going to get it done. And exactly zero NATO countries have the political stomach to send their people to die in a direct conflict with Russia.
And that's how we end up back in the geopolitical reality where Ukraine is going to lose, despite whatever day to say gains your favorite fake news host told you they might be making.
Stop encouraging them to die for no reason. It's objectively stupid to keep prolonging the inevitable.
