And what is the significance of that land? How much was lost on either side taking that land?
You're like a guy in 1943 claiming that Germany will definitely beat the USSR because Von Manstein made some advances.
No I'm like a guy in 1943 claiming that the USSR will definitely beat Germany because it stopped all German offensives, and then started to roll back the Germans with its own counter-offensives, which is exactly what Ukraine has done.
Except that in 1943 the Germans were on the march yet again, due to the USSR overextending itself in the aftermath of Stalingrad - which no doubt you know due to your knowledge of milhis.
Thee Germans were consistently losing after Stalingrad, and could do no more than a fighting retreat. Germany still achieved 4:1 kill ratios even into 1944, but that's because the Soviets were inferior qualitatively and communism treats human beings as ants to be sacrificed at a whim, so Stalin didn't really care that his forces suffered heavy casualties as long as they kept pushing. Communist China was the same way.
The big German offensive in 1943 was Kursk, and it failed badly since it was telegraphed and obvious, and the Soviets were able to fortify the shit out of the salient.
They actually retook some territory in Little Russia, but you know this.
Nor did any of the other leaders. Amazing how much you boil down to personal dispositions. It's about the fact that the system there allowed this to happen, not about subjective feelings.
And still they lost more. So I suppose that in 1943 you would be crowing "LMFAO the Russians lost thousands of tanks, way more than the Germans, they're definitely losing"
