First of all, I notice that they're harping on race an extraordinary amount.
The white majority is fading, the economy is changing and there’s a pervasive sense of loss in districts where Republicans fought the outcome of the 2020 election.
That said, your complaint about the form of address for Trump is unwarranted. I picked a random other article about Obama, and it has almost the same pattern: refer to him as 'former President' once, and thereafter use 'Mr. Obama'.
Former President Barack Obama said Sunday that he tested positive for the coronavirus and has a scratchy throat but is otherwise fine.
In a post on Twitter, Mr. Obama said former first lady Michelle Obama tested negative, and both were glad they were vaccinated and boosted.
When Representative Troy Nehls of Texas voted last year to reject Donald J. Trump’s electoral defeat, many of his constituents back home in Fort Bend County were thrilled.
Like the former president
There is a slight difference in that the first time Obama is mentioned, it is preceded by 'former President'. With Trump, it's displaced to the next paragraph.
If this is bias, at least it has plausible deniability the way very little of the lying media does.
(Not a criticism of OP, I think it is good that you posted it for our consumption)
Its also funny because while Hispanics in Cali and New York are still playing ball with the Left as their new personal pets, Hispanics in most of the rest of the are flipping hard to the Right, and are placing a ton of zones into play that were not expected and/or making areas that were already Red even more solidly red.

It should be "Mrs. Obama."
According to Joan Rivers before her sudden and surprising death, it's Michelle who's a man, not Barack who's a woman.
Unless this is some new reference I am not aware of.
It's funny when they start to look at Mexicans displacing their pet blacks in California. You had that whole kerfuffle with "racism" in LA recently.
