I'm not disagreeing its immoral or evil. Only that trying to make it illegal would do minimal to stop them (they would simply find another stupid way) while dragging a lot of innocent, and suffering, people into the courts to suffer worse.

And having known someone who attempted this method (and failed because its not as easy as this makes it seems), its almost always a combination of being too poor to afford Planned Parenthood and a shame enough to try and hide it away entirely. Which says they know its not good, but do it anyway.
