Job done in all likelihood. Except just like with Extinction Rebelion, Insulate Britain, and other groups this is the kind of action that won't be well received by the general public and will in fact turn the public on the group.
ER were on the fringes of most people up until the point the group started impeding the ability of the public to use... public transport to get to work. Once they started fucking with peoples' livelihoods they were done.
Similarly one of the top names in Insulate Britain turned out to be a trades workman I believe who did even have his own home insulated and the hypocrisy/laziness turned a lot of people off the group.
So while the vandalism will have gained the group attention I don't see it being anywhere near a net positive as destroying cultural icons, [who have zero fucking connection with the topic being brought up], never, ever goes well for the activists.
