Can’t say I would but Jesus did forgive those who were torturing and killing him. St Stephen as well. But so soon after the killing is what shocked me after this story. I’ve heard of people forgiving a killer of their loved one many years after it happened but never so quickly. I remember that church shooting in 15 the families said they were praying for the shooter
The average Christian parent is not Jesus and nor should they pretend they are.
The son of God forgived mortal sin from a position of strength. The average Christian is incapable of forgiving from a position of strength because most Christians have no real power in western society. They are brainwashed by globalist elites to be meek and told that is what their religion demands.
I studied at a Christian school and have read the Bible. I have a lot of respect for most Christian teachings just not the very idiotic notion of forgiving violent murderers.
Any religion that truly teaches its members to forgive the murderers of your own children has either been co-opted by globalist bad actors or is actually worthless.
I’m Christian and I can see your point because I’ve often struggled with being humble and meek as well as asserting myself when needed. It’s a fine line for sure. And I have seen a lot of churches being poisoned by what you are talking about. Thankfully mine hasn’t as of yet or I would’ve left.

I don't disagree with your general point, but I am confused about this aspect of positional power.
I thought Christians were spiritually 'given strength' by God. And the Lord's Prayer (I know, more of a creed of desires than instruction) includes "forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us." Where does cultural context and influence enter?
The other part is Jesus's teachings. I know some verses get played up more than others to play up pacifism, but I guess this is where I need understanding of 'how do I confront evil in current_year.'

This is heresy at best. The average Chrisitan should be striving to be like Jesus and its not an issue of pretend.
Jesus forgave from a position of weakness. His foregoing absolute power is a huge part of his sacrifice. He chose mortal weakness in order to fulfill the covenant. You're no better than the hippie motherfuckers and trying to bend the gospel to your whims.
There is a parable where Jesus says to forgive your brother seventy times seven times, if they ask it. Most people highlight the number of times... not the fact that the first words are "* if your brother comes to you*".
They knew exactly what they were doing and they should either get life or the chair. Being forgiven doesn’t negate the rightful punishment. I’ve heard of forgiveness happening years later. Never this quickly
The modern cucked and corrupted form of Christianity is a perversion of what, I'm pretty sure, Jesus meant. He said "love thy neighbor". "Love" was central to Jesus's teachings. If you love something or someone, you protect and cherish them. If they're hurt, you heal them. You do everything in your power to protect them from being destroyed or murdered.
This modern version of "love" seems to be just as corrupted as modern Christianity, where it espouses we must accept and forgive everyone and everything they do. That's antithetical to absolutism and the very idea of God himself. Even logic abhors this corrupted version of love. It reeks of another institution and philosophy wholly corrupted by globalists, who would undo the foundations of truth itself.
If you love something or someone, you will naturally hate and destroy anything that brings harm to it or them. Wrath and anger can be righteous. This false modern definition of love is also paired with another false modern teaching, that all violence is wrong. Violence can be righteous.
A righteous man doesn't forgive the evil that is desecrating, corrupting, raping, destroying, and killing everything he loves, everything good on this earth, until earth is little more than an emulation of hell. He doesn't forgive evil or tolerate it. A righteous man destroys evil.

Hey Ricky retardo I agree with you in general but

My perspective is simple:
I am completely against parents casually forgiving the violent murder of their own child.
Are you saying parents must emulate Jesus and forgive even a heinous murder of their own child in order to be a "true Christian"?
If that is what you are saying, I have no respect for you and your "true Christianity".
