That's not true at all, the troops evacuated from Dunkirk (and they fought mostly in Belgium not France) were being rearmed and in the process of being sent back to fight when France surrendered - also trapping tens of thousands of Polish soldiers who have made their way from occupied Poland to France, only to be either being captured there or spend the war in the internment in Switzerland.
Also it was a German offensive, and the Allied counterattack was a failure.
And more than that, the Maginot Line was as extended as you were going to get it. Because any attempt to fortify the Belgian border would have enraged the Belgians, since they didn’t want their land to become a battlefield between Germany and France yet again.
So his proposed plan would, at best, have weakened the French position, and at worst would have lost them allies, and maybe even seen the Belgians join the Germans on the grounds of “I now have axes to grind”, instead of being another Allied Power.

You don't get to declare war on a nation then proclaim they are the 'offensive' ones lmao.
Britain almost single-handedly caused WW2, along with the judea of the world.
Belgium was neutral when it was invaded, Mein Fuhrer.
Maybe they shouldn't have been in the way. Haha.
