You have missed my point entirely.

The media accusations won't stick as easy if the target doesn't make it easy for them.

They fabricated three large lies about Trump but Trump kept taking the bait and making more and more poorly worded statements on various topics making it easy for dumb normies to believe the lies.

DeSantis wouldn't replicate this behavior.
