There really are scenes in the show that look like basement quality cosplay. The show's effects are whiplash inducing, it has staggering quality drops and I say that as a fan of Stargate.
Okay so let's take this clip as an example. Does this look like a billion dollars at work? Does this look like one of the most expensive pieces of media ever made?
Because to me it looks like exactly what I said, that a lot of this show's budget was stolen by producers instead of spent on the show itself. It makes Destiny 2 vanilla look well thought out.
And that's even if you discount how atrocious the actual writing is. Because "oh lawd them rangs" isn't really a stretch.
It does cover the whole series, that's exactly what I'm talking about. They paid a billion dollars and there is no quality control in evidence here. At no point was cinematography consistency a priority.
