I got a link to a Forbes article earlier claiming that Tolkien portrayed Galadriel as a warrior but "you just haven't read enough Tolkien." Basically they just search Lost Tales for any instance of "Galadriel" and "fought" close to each other. Caterina Sforza "fought" the Borjas and Joan of Arc "fought" the British but neither of them ever lifted a sword in anger. Joan's sword never even had an edge put on it.
The thing I hate most about these people is they can't just be like, "yeah we do what we want" they always have to justify it with sophistry.
I can tell you. Admitting what they did turns it from an oopsies or a happenstance into an affront, an attack. Once you've done that, it's okay for someone to counterattack. They want to "accidentally" burn your house down with your family inside. It's cultural arkancide.
