So enjoying anime is bad? Enjoying Japanese food is bad? I’ve never dated a Japanese woman but I would if we connected. So what exactly is orientalism? And wow, I’m so sick of listening to young douchebags drone on and on about oppression. If only there was a cure for victim mentality
She's not Japanese. She's a hapa, and she follows and is followed by other woke hapas and woke foreigners living in Japan. She isnt a representative of Japan at all.
A harsh dose of reality is a sure-fire cure for the victim mentality. This would require something significant to happen to them like WW3, military conscription, BUDS/boot camp, a life or death survival scenario, or something of that sort. Harsh reality has a way of creating clarity. Unfortunately modern people are so privileged that they never experience anything so difficult in their lives.
That is true. I remember going to Air Force boot camp was a rude awakening for me. Yes, I know the Air Force isn't as "hardcore" as the Army or Marines but for my out of shape self it was very hardcore.

What is a hapa? Like the equivalent of young Americans who hate America?
