Crist’s choice for lieutenant governor all but ensures a focus on education in the gubernatorial race, with DeSantis having enjoyed significant success in motivating his conservative base through restrictive policies toward classroom discussion of race and LGBTQ issues and a laissez-faire approach to pandemic-related public health.
Education doesn’t exist in public schools and hasn’t for decades..
and a laissez-faire approach to pandemic-related public health.
Must be hard to not have their brain implode from cognitive dissonance when nearly all Democrat-controlled jurisdictions finally came to adopt Florida's approach.
After needlessly wrecking the linguistic, social and intellectual development of kids for 2 years.
Still trying to dunk on Orange-State Man about it means the Summer 2022 pre-elections patch wasen't installed on that NPC.
Impossible. Plurality is dead, and institutions are run by winner-takes-all. No legislative process is going to point at schools that are entirely staffed by liberals, leftists, progressives, and Communists, say "tut tut chaps play nice now," and that will magically happen.
These big gray boxes where children are shipped to daily for processing, are simply a bad idea. That gray box system has managed to successfully lobby for fully half or more of all property taxes, and nobody blinks. Of course that's going to be a political chess piece, because that's a dragon's hoard of resources and reach.
This is Hamiltonian government, and it fucking sucks from its foundational assumptions. Starve it, neglect it, dismantle it brick by brick.
This made me think Crist isn't a serious candidate. I'm thinking he's raising his profile for something else, or the Party is up to some other kind of trick. Nobody likes teacher's unions other than the people that are in them. It's literally those people conspiring against everyone else and their children. Democrats court them because they have money. That doesn't mean they're popular with the Democrats base, who is largely non-union. You might make this alliance to get money, but it will kill you in votes, particularly in what is basically a red state. There is a reason the unions generally manipulate the Party behind the scenes rather than have their leaders run for office.
Crist didn't run for Governor again because he was going to lose. He lost his bid for a senate seat because he's a pissy blanket of a person and he was given his congressional seat. He's part of the Tallahassee fagotcrats.

Which is why we need to fight for its return

"Gimme that sweet, sweet, sweet union money."
