Just don't let the current religious organisations have it, all a bunch of simps for this stuff to begin with.

If they led the next crusade...we'd be the targets.

The religious leadership of many major denominations are part of the establishment as well. The modern paradigm is establishment + useful idiots vs. everyone else, so yeah, a establishment-lead inquisition would be the opposite of what we want.
