I've written off just about my entire family. The only reason I haven't been disowned is because they know nothing about my politics. They blindly think I'm completely aligned with their views, and they've never once even bothered to ask me what they ever were.
Lucky. Unfortunately it’s too late for that, for me…
All I can do is limit the contact, and any and all discussion of such things, lol…
But yeah, I like your strategy, ha. Unfortunately was never an option, for me!
I was the kid who got taken to political rallies, and forced to watch political shit on TV…
As I have made clear, I personally know politicians at all three levels of government, here, which is… Alarming (the good ones are dead or have moved on. The bad ones are almost all still there).
It took me… Until my early 20s, to undo that, frankly, brainwashing and “hyper political” weirdness, lol…
They’re still perpetually shocked that I, as you say, do not think exactly like them…
