Seems like a house built on sand, which is probably why they are pushing Taiwan so much needing a distraction knowing at best it'd be a pyrrhic victory. If they actually did try I wouldn't be surprised if Taiwan targeted key points like the 3 gorges dam just to cripple them out of spite.

This much surveillance and monitoring means their positions aren't as stable as they like to project compared to previous dictators where they just did random killings to keep the fear and knew no one would stop them.
