I thought they were meant to be a representation of how the game used to be back in the day...people didn't have brain damage back then...at least to this degree. I hate this body type shit.
They made a huge blogpost about how "NoChanges" where the philosophy for Classic, but that they weren't doing that for Wrath and were gonna make "SomeChanges" for the good of the game.
So they are fully discarding the one thing that made the Classic idea worthwhile, and instead are just remaking the old game with the new devs instead.
at that point: play on a private server. WOTLK private servers have matured a looot, played one a while ago and it was pretty fun.
They've always been the most stable, even during Wrath retail. Classic was hurt because it's so easy to "one little quality of life improvement won't hurt..." away the game, and BC suffered from a half-built base letting Dunning Kruger kick in and never actually implementing the game.
Its not like private servers are bastions of "NoChange" and "no petty drama." Too many of them devolve into MTX fests or personal fiefdoms for a few people.
They are fine for getting a quick hit of memories, but their long term playability is always iffy.
