I can respect these protesters. I can’t respect most modern day “activists/protesters” taking positions that are cheered on by the culture. Like high school students who walk out of their school to protest gun violence or taking a knee during the anthem
Agreed. These protesters have a lot to lose, while leftist protesters have nothing to lose. They risk cancellation or government persecution from opposing the regressive left.
Before you say anything, yes the UK government does persecute people. The cops will show up to investigate "non-criminal hate incidents", so if you're naughty they'll show up at your door to harass you even if you didn't commit a crime.
I’ve heard about that in the UK. Very scary. I also remember hearing about a guy singing Kung Fu Fighting at karaoke and getting fined because someone got offended over the line “funky China men from funky China town”
I've looked that up and apparently he didn't get fined, he outright got arrested which is absolutely disgusting. The UK truly is baby China, without the communism.
Hell, real China is probably better than the UK because at least you know the rules, while in the UK the social justice rules are so vague that they can be used to punish anyone for the slightest infraction.
