Do people seriously think Russia is outright invading The US RIGHT NOW?! Or Canada? Or Greenland? Or South America? Or Australia? Or Africa? Or CHINA?! Or...
I doubt those people knew were the US, Canada or Australia are on the map and just put a random location on a map they have no idea about.
Lizardman's Constant: About 5% of respondents, when a poll is posted online, will purposefully post junk data just to ruin your dataset.
Dots on Hawaii are likely part of that constant, since it is in the middle of the ocean, even not knowing it is Hawaii or where Russia or Ukraine are, an arbitrary guess wouldn't be an island, since the news covers a land war.
This is why I also love telephone polls///
Know why shows like The Dukes of Hazzard and The A-Team seemed so popular back in the day? Because people would give those Nielson ratings booklets they got in the mail from time to time to their kid(s) to fill out. Guess what shows were popular with the 8-16 set (or at least, latchkey kids old enough to watch shows past 8 or 9 pm.)
Do you not remember Americans from the state of Georgia asking where the tanks were when Russia invaded the country of Georgia?
When I lived in Lebanon in the 70s, the "Heavy Fighting in Lebanon" headline made me wonder WTF, and that's how I learned there's a country named Lebanon.
Tweet is from 2020.
It's an older meme, sir, but it checks out.
