Yeah and no birth control + no abortion + no tolerance meant that if a girl screwed around and (likely) got pregnant, your whole family had a big problem. Well, at least if it happened, they were getting married now. Also, people didn't use to live that long -- need to live long enough to raise their kids. IDK exactly what the ideal age for pregnancy is in nature to ensure live births and lower maternal mortality, but it's not 30+. Getting going on reproduction was vital to survival. As usual, applying modern moral standards to ancient behavior is dumb.
But this topic isn't about that. I don't know why the guy you're replying to took it there, or why you insisted on applying ancient behavior standards (or even biological qualifiers if you're just saying "hey technically the term doesn't apply here") to Stalin's behavior.

not true. Men tended to marry around 20, sometimes later, when they had established the means to support a family. at least in more eastern areas. The Western European pattern that has held true for ages is that men and women of roughly equal ages married around 20/25 (F/M) whereas in Eastern Europe and the rest of the planet, the marriage age was more like 15/25 (F/M).
