not true. Men tended to marry around 20, sometimes later, when they had established the means to support a family. at least in more eastern areas. The Western European pattern that has held true for ages is that men and women of roughly equal ages married around 20/25 (F/M) whereas in Eastern Europe and the rest of the planet, the marriage age was more like 15/25 (F/M).
