Wasn't the whole point of the Church of England to allow the king to break the rules? So I guess it's not surprising.

Funny side note, I saw a post recently on another site where someone was looking for a gay-affirming church that taught the truth from the bible and complained the places they went were just talking about politics. Maybe because gay-affirming and the bible don't mix. I mean it says to put gays to death...
