Imagine looking at people's names to formulate arguments based on prior interactions. And then calling me the girlfriend. But let's humor you.
This is what you said. When I pointed that towelheads managed incredible feats of World Destabilization too, you moved it to "tangible good manufacturing" as the only apparent metric, despite you yourself bringing up a point that had nothing to do with that. And then throwing in 99.8% to make it sound super scary, while the best I can find is somewhere between 25%-40% depending on source.
I don't particularly care about being an asshole. Most people will insult you when you call out their blatant failures in argumentation. Also, devolving into those insults and whining when called out is also pretty "internet fucking asshole-y" but I suppose that's the best you can do.
It doesn't matter if you care. Would mentioning Ebay, Motorola, Time Warner, Lyft, or Apple make you feel better though? Apple is pretty important because so much of that "stuff" that gets made is their stuff which means those Chinese dance for them. Time Warner (now Spectrum I believe) is also pretty important because it runs a huge majority of the American internet infrastructure, no Chinese involvement needed despite its cornerstone status. That's just one guy for the record, of the many.
China may own the manufacturing at the moment, but in order for that to have value they need a buyer. They can act tough and try to throw their weight around, and even scare some pathetic politicians into playing along, but if they were met with real opposition they would crumple quickly. Its a tenuous situation where both parties are too scared to truly attack the other and deal with the consequences, but most nations have the tech and historical understanding to bring that manufacturing back whereas China has no alternative to rebound with.
