Hmm, that's funny.
When a woman gets herself drunk every weekend and one weekend she gets raped, we're supposed to think it's not her fault and there was nothing she could do.
But when a needs money for food and rent, and feels his only worthwhile option is joining a gang, suddenly it's "voluntarily engaging".
Men in the ghetto join gangs because of the same social dynamics that cause men in better areas of town to be almost all of the police, army, and pizza drivers (an occupation more hazardous than being a cop) - women and society push any dangerous or risky work onto men.
Source needed, because this sounds a lot like feminist fantasy.
I know that men are the ones pushed into more dangerous jobs, if we were just talking deaths rather than specifically murders. Which genders is most represented in these fields?
