Same shit with abortion. Everyone knows roe v wade was garbage, but people were mostly okay with typical restrictions on abortion. Then democrats in blue states started pushing for third trimester baby murder, and here we are. These fuckers always end up overreaching and getting slapped down.
Pretty sure they know scotus will reject these insane gun control laws, and I’m starting to think that’s the point. They want to force scotus to stop the leftist agenda so that they can gin up popular support for court packing or total disregard for the judiciary.
I support euthanizing babies who are dying and suffering, or who would be lifelong impaired by severe brain damage, etc. the most serious issues can’t be detected until the third trimester.
So in a way, I think third trimester abortions are far more ethical than killing a potential healthy baby at 4 weeks or 24 weeks.
I don't mind this. I'm happy for the court to be challenged on occasion. Now all we need is to let the republicans in the rest of the state explicitly reject the state law. Turning it into a major political issue, and making gains in New York state possible.

Didn't the Civil war start the same way.. Because states were not enforcing fed law?
