In fairness, the post-colonial African struggles for Leftist Nationalism... otherwise known as National Socialism, as well as the rise of straight up Communism of African countries, lead to the 2nd Congolese War which was the 3rd bloodiest conflict in all of the 20th century, ravaged most of Africa, inspired the Rawandan genocide, and all of it was based of Leftist ideology that had been spread by white intellectuals.

They didn't have to kill and eat everyone, but every single white person with money and power internationally told them that killing and eating each other was okay if you did it for the right reason, which always happened to be a Leftist one.

So, at least, there's a little blame there for the post-colonial period.
