Nothing accidental. This was deliberate and is criminal.
I agree, but they'll never admit it.
Never prosecute it either. Just exactly like what happened in New York.
Trudeau in Ottawa or Doug Ford in Ontario don't even pretend that they are actively looking for the hacker that leaked the convoy donors list from GiveSendGo, even after the supposed hacker doxxed himself to take credit.
"We have investigated ouselves and found we did nothing wrong."
What I've been hearing is that the registry contains information on people who haven't ever been citizens of California. That's a whole lot worse than I thought at first.
Yup. Seems to be an object lesson to anybody looking to get CA's gun laws looked at.
Sure, they can probably - after CA fights it every step of the way - get that law changed, after all, it only costs CA taxpayers money to engage in pointless legal battles - but if they do, CA will make them famous.
Good.
This just shows how fucking stupid anything along the lines of "gun registries" are, and how fucking malicious and/or incompetent government is.
Also at risk: People who try to fuck with said armed individuals.
just red flag them bruh
Also at risk: GOVERNMENT.
#Based.
Bureaucrats with access to gun ownership data:
"Maybe we should. Oh. OH."
I've yet to even hear the word "accident" or any variation of the sort uttered by now, so don't even bother with the word.
The DOJ is calling it "a data breach," so they are trying to linguistically punt the responsibility far beyond what "accidentally" implies.
Well, I presume they aren't dancing around saying they did it on purpose.
Definitely a smart thing to do to armed people who dont like you.
The kicker is they may face real heat for this because most judges got doxed too. Judges have their own category of CCW (that is listed on the leak), so there is no mistaking identity. Lot of DAs carry too, doubt they are happy.
I suspect many lefty judges and lawyers are quite upset at the prospect of being forced to move, and those are the sort of people you don't typically want biased against you.
