But let's be realistic here: There's no politician that actually wants to be elected that'll be the one to end the insanity. Why? Because you'd alienate almost all women immediatly. The number of women that see marriage law, alimony and all that as the cancer on society that it is, is so small and even to these women DeSantis is still the best choice.
You don't really think Trump wouldn't have vetoed this law, do you? You need almost absolute power and the backing of all institutions involved to change marriage into something that's not 100% for the benefit of women.
