I hate when they say queer characters aren’t political. It gets political when you massively over represent a population and double down on it despite clear evidence it doesn’t sell. Same with pushing a black character on the basis they are black and using character to push the racism narrative.
Or perhaps we can look at constantly gender swapping or pushing women into traditionally male hobbies or genres and attacking criticism as sexist.
The people saying "everything is political" are the ones putting politics into everything.
Schrodinger's Politics.
Launguage police here: it isnt queer amymore because that word has been successfully subverted. Use pervert or degenerate.
Gotcha. Lol.
I'm not sure I understand. Queer is subverted how? Queer = faggot = homosexual = non-binary= trans, although trans is an order of magnitude more perverse and degenerate with self-mutilation as part of its doctrine.
queer has been normalized into a political collective and to no longer has a negative connotation. The public perception no longer that matches what it really represents: sex obsessed narcissists who are mentally ill to the point where they can't stop themselves from indulging in their fetishistic behavior in public.
Universities have departments of queer studies, there are no departments of perversion or degeneracy or faggotry. That is why we should use those words rather than the words the enemies of civilization want us to use.
Good points.
Tokenism has always been tacky at best. In most cases, it was used as a writing foil having the character play up to racist stereotypes for the purpose of keeping the audience familiar despite telling a story with unfamiliar characters and a potentially confusing plot.
