A "metis"* in this context is the twice-cursed result of a forbidden union. The first curse is sterility, the second is chosen by the player. Neither of these things are fixable.
Because of the nature of its creation, metis are despised by their own kind. Of course, it can be part of a good drama for a metis to have a heroic journey story arc, as long as they don't go Mary Sue over the other players, or, hell, an entire pack of metis thrown together that have to work hard to survive all the suicide missions they get sent on and prove their worth.
But they'd probably just whine about how "unfair" primitive, shamanistic Garou culture is. Owait, they already did, I guess.
But keep in mind that traditionally, Garou mostly just killed any Metis that got born - and the parents who dared to produce it. But in the End Times, they need all the claws and fangs they can get ....
