It's like the human race is splitting off into divergent species. Elon needs to hurry up and open up Mars for colonization.
I'd rather have honking big Elysuim style habitats that Bezos wants to build myself, though.
Space Cities are the actual far future of humanity. Mars is a necessary stepping stone. (being sufficiently distant from Earth, and having low enough gravity to make launching space missions relatively easy)
Might be sooner than you think if this company gets a few starship cargo loads into space to do a proof of concept on an automated torus builder.
