I don't think we can achieve anything meaningful if we "play nice" -- aka lie -- over apportioning blame with respect to lockdown restrictions. Building any kind of partnerships on a series of deliberately false pretenses is never going to result in "achieving something". The whole idea is compromised from the start.
True, but they also don't need to deliberately steer blame away from appropriate targets, such as overzealous leftist academics who encouraged harsh restrictions. I think we just disagree, no harm in that.
