He could have bought it, but chose not to.

Trump doesn't have that kind of money. Musk is far, far richer. Musk wouldn't miss $53 billion, whereas Trump doesn't have $53 billion.

According to him, yes. Not that I have any reason to doubt it. I'm just saying the net worth of Trump is not something clear cut or that he is abundantly clear about.
