The X-Men and Brotherhood make peace with each other by killing Magneto and his allies, and then conspire with the "good" politicians to allow the Brotherhood to sabotage the elections by killing every single strawman politician that wants to suppress the mutants, resulting in all the nobodies opposing the mutants figuring out what happened after being disenfranchised and going insurgent KKK on the mutants with some regressive leftist strawman's thrown in there as well. The X-Men act as peacekeepers during a story arc full of regressive leftist strawmen and propaganda while keeping the declining Brotherhood under control so they don't do anything stupid. The story ends with the Brotherhood dissolving after dying out naturally, and all the surviving "bigots" are thrown into brand new "prisons" with life sentences while America becomes an unrealistic woke utopia, and no other storylines occur after this that does not involve the government or brotherhood being hostile.
