This rag is so god damn awful, when they are trying to make us feel sympathy for those in hardluck situations, they can't even find someone to be sympathetic of! One bitch with a masters in Opera singing had to work at Starbucks for insurance and to make ends meet (starving artist trope), got married, had a kid, and now is bitching that she has to have a job...to have insurance!
I'm going to go read some gay fanfiction written by women. Poorly written gay sex is more appealing than dealing with the nerve of these privileged cunts.
To add: I think what bothers me the most is that these people act like we are in the end times. They know nothing of what it truly means to struggle, to have to work. They complain about having to work just to make ends meet, that getting a good job with benefits is the least to expect and not the goal. They have never had to scrimp or save, coupons are just things they hear about on television, saving money for your kids braces was a plot that made that one movie character sad! The simple privilege, it astounds me.
People have always hated their jobs, but they did them because they knew it was the norm, that it was necessary. It's not about a good work ethic, it's about putting food on the god damn table because doing anything else means everyone starves! They can't comprehend that they aren't special, that what is happening now has always fucking happened, it wasn't just something they inherited as Utopia suddenly burned away!
It's called growingup and being an adult, assholes!
Maybe the artists are starving because art alone is not a viable means of keeping yourself fed and we should stop treating it as a standalone occupation.
Notice how most of the degrees they mention are liberal arts or actual arts degrees. I feel for the guy with an associate in CS but he might be better off finishing his BS. But for the most part they spent tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars getting indoctrinated. No sympathy for a bunch of commies who refuse to learn useful skills.
That's not underemployment, that's the future they chose
Note the firms the complaints are about: Starbucks, Amazon - these are the same big firms pushing the narrative they have embraced.
They've come out of university with their useless degrees and masses of debt, such that they are now compelled to go find even a bad job. And, oh boy, do Starbucks and Amazon have bad jobs for you.
These people will own nothing and they will hate it.
Amazing, it's just a shame that student loan forgiveness would be yet another handout to our "better halves" and this appeal that men are harmed is pure pandering bullshit.

I have actually lost friends over telling people to just suck it up and work.
Both of these friends then 'followed their dreams' and made their own lives much worse.

All of the "greats" were either born to rich families, took commissions, or patronage after they established themselves a bit.
The “working artist” isn’t a trope.
The “starving artist”…
How many of the greats died penniless?
Something something fetishization, something something objectifying hypocrites.

Wow, they actually show a man suffering.

What we’re seeing now, on a societal scale, is what happens when you tell your wise and well-meaning dad to fuck off.
A bunch of people will respond to this notion with the fact that they didn’t have a good dad. It’s not the gotcha they think it is.
the only people who should be paying are the schools. they are the ones that have jacked the prices up and up and up the whole time.
community college used to be FREE.
