My friend hated his doctors in California (he moved to Arizona) at Kaiser. One doctor told him "you're pre-diabetic," and my friend responded "you're pre-diabetic!" Doctor didn't know what to say, so my friend says "do I have diabetes?" And the doctor said "no."
Every doctor I go to automatically asks "are those scars from your diabetes" or "Do you have diabetes circulation issues?" MRSA left the skin of my legs fucked, and the healing in them is slow thanks to it. They don't believe me when I tell them I have low blood sugar issues, then they see the test results, and basically stare at my like I pulled a duck from my ass and asked for soup with me quacker. Got the 'pre-high blood pressure' shit and blood pressure meds that did nothing but make me sick. Took it, no help, didn't take it, no help. Take a seizure medicine to calm my panic attacks, suddenly my blood pressure is testing like I'm normal sized. It's a guessing game, and most doctors are ignorant cunts.
Yes, but "pre-diabetic" is not nothing. It usually means you're having insulin regulation issues which means, among other things, that you get ravenously, painfully hungry even after you've eaten. Once your'e insulin-resistant, you're on a speed train to out of control weight gain and constant fatigue. The only way to deal with it is to go low-carb.
