The funny thing it's the same here in Germany. Some social principals can work in a society if the society and its laws are build around the same ideals & values (which we Germans got from our religion - Christianity).
Punishment for teenagers/young adults who steal get into the fights don't need to be harsh, because the family will tear the offender a bigger new asshole than the government ever could.
My grandfather worked for the city, my father for a school/college. My other grandfather was a tailor. If somehow I would get into trouble with the law my parents & grandparents would be my problems. Not the state.
My grandmother would tell me "What will the neighbours / people think?" if I misbehaved by being too loud or wanting to out with a dirty shirt.
The same regarding healthcare and unemployment payment. You are only unemployed when you can't help yourself. When you had bad luck in life or a serious injury; and even then you tried to get back to on your feet. Your friends & family would shun you if you even entertained the idea of leeching from society.
Now certain "new members" of society don't share those values.
The parents don't care if the kids get arrested by the police for the 1st or 101st time. They even applaud them for making the Germans look like fools and disrespect anyone who tries to change anything. They gladly leech healthcare and other social systems even though they (or their family) have ever contributed to it.
But the retarded left here doesn't want to see the problem. They rather flagellate themselves and they "we didn't do enough to help those people integrate". So fucking what. If they don't want to integrate they can get the fuck out of this country. There are many people around the world who would gladly come here and contribute to society. Why not help those people get here.
