Too little, too late from many however.
GG side of things don't trust him as it comes across as only seeing the light after getting burned himself.
Woke side is still attacking him for things said over a year ago and now renewing that which will likely be driving home the point that the "right side of history" many wokesters claim to champion is anything but.

He wrote Father Ted, a comedy worth watching. Also wrote The IT Crowd. Don't watch the US remake it's... shit. OG UK version has had episodes removed by Channel 4 for not being woke enough. Namely the episode with The Internet because one of the characters finds out he's slept with a
swim championMtF stealth-rapist [as said MtF only mentions this AFTER sleeping with the character] however due to said character mishearing the "I used to be a man" line as "I used to be from Iran" it gets played for laughs until things are clarified. Leading to a full on brawl between the two.Which is annoying for other reasons because the episode in question has some great moments that are unrelated to that side plot for the most part.

It was more or less a remake of the pilot but Roy was played by an American yet Moss was... still Moss.
A lot of shows which have imported fail at first because they try too hard to be like the original. The UK version of The Office is very cringe humour that just didn't work for the US remake and it wasn't until the second season that version started to actually work because they made the characters their own rather than copies of David Brent and the rest. Similarly Parks and Rec season 1 is dire because it's a weak copy of season 1 of the Office [both versions] and it's lucky it got the second season to establish itself as again it wasn't until that second season the show started to work.
the remake has one of the original actors, and the other was recast. i never watched so idk how good or bad it was. gr8 show ending tho, lmao
