This is my first thought every time I hear about something being "rebooted" or "remade".
I feel like I am just done. Western media currently exists to force feed a compliant audience as many token checkboxes as possible.
You know, it's funny how a lot of the alphabet crowd used to point at anime being "so open minded" 20 years ago if there was a gay character. But I don't feel like I have to be on a paranoid lookout for the inevitable appearance of a token gay character. That force fed crap doesn't exist.
I didn't think it was possible to be any more done with Disney.
I think as soon as I heard Tim Allen was missing, I had a bad feeling about it. Seems this explains things.

Now they have changed to "we need to rewrite/localize anime to fix its problematic issues and lack of representation".
