Something like this happened to a kid in my elementary school years ago, so things like this do happen albeit extremely rarely. However, when I looked the story up the fact that I couldn't find a single news site even mention vaccination or not leads me to believe he was. They wouldn't put out anything negative about The Science's holy serum.
