People seem to think that because we went to the moon, that we are so different from our monkey ancestors.

And yet almost everything we do is the same, albeit a bit more advanced.

A man wants to marry a woman? He'd better show up with an expensive ring (pretty shiny rock)

A male bird wants to mate with a female bird? He'd better show up with a piece of blue glass (pretty shiny rock)

A woman wants to look more attractive? She puts on makeup.

A Cro Magnon wants to look more attractive? She puts mud on her face.

The sheer amount of technology around us blinds us to how savage we really are, and to ignore that is foolish.
